Rectification of defectively installed or damaged cavity trays.
Cavity trays are designed and installed to prevent water that penetrates external brickwork from entering the structure. Unfortunately, they are often installed with the wrong materials (e.g. dpc membrane) and/ or detailed incorrectly, so presenting a water path into the structure.
As these are designed to trap and drain water from the cavity, stop-ends must be formed, all laps fully sealed and junctions at glazing, doors, etc., detailed with precision.
At Rainmasters, we understand the implications of poor installation so we first carry out diagnostic testing to determine where the faults lie.
Then, depending on circumstances, we design and apply permanent cavity tray leak repairs, either locally or along the entire length.
